Yedidya-Tzviel Weksler, 13, was born in Winnipeg, Canada, and now lives in Neria near Modi'in.

From a very young age, Yedidya began to sing and to mingle in his voice and gradually discovered his talent and vocal abilities, singing cantorial, Hasidic, Israeli, Mizrahi and even original songs he composed together with his father, Rabbi David Weksler.

In the last year he has performed three times with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Zubin Mehta at the Tel Aviv Cultural Center. On the Sabbath, he performed with cantors - Zvi Weiss, Cantor of Jerusalem Great Synagogue ; Shai Abramson, the IDF cantor ; Israel Parnas, the greatest Chassidic singer and more.

Yedidya performs under the close accompaniment of conductor Ofir Sobol and previously with Dr. Mordechai Sobol z”l, sings in the "Pirchei Modiin" Choir under the direction of Yankele Rotner and studies voice development with the cantor and opera singer David Levin.

The spotlights does not prevent him from getting up to pray Vatikin every day, to be an outstanding student in the Talmud Torah, to issue weekly pamphlets with Divrei Torah for Parshat Hashavu'a and of course to play with his friends.

ידידיה וקסלר נולד לפני כשלוש-עשרה שנה בקנדה להורים שליחי-חינוך, עלה לארץ בגיל שלוש ומתגורר ביישוב נריה ליד מודיעין.

כבר מגיל צעיר זוכה וקסלר להנעים בקולו המיוחד והמרגש, ולרגל בר המצווה שלו אף הפיק את אלבומו הראשון ״לילד הזה התפללתי״, בו משולבים 13 שירים בסגנונות שירה וחזנות שונים.

וקסלר לומד ומתפתח מבחינה מוזיקלית תחת שרביטם של המנצח אופיר סובול , משמש סולן ראשי במקהלת "פרחי מודיעין" בניצוחו של יענקל'ה רוטנר ולמד פיתוח קול עם החזן וזמר האופרה דייויד לוין.

וקסלר זכה להופיע מספר פעמים בקונצרטים לצידו של המנצח ומחייה החזנות, הד״ר מרדכי סובול ז״ל, שאף הגיע לחגוג עם ידידיה את שבת בר המצווה - השבת האחרונה של ד״ר סובול בישראל, כשבוע וחצי לפני פטירתו הפתאומית.

על אף גילו הצעיר, וקסלר הספיק להופיע כילד-פלא לצד חזנים וזמרים מובילים, בקונצרטים מעל במות מכובדת כהיכל התרבות תל-אביב, משכן האופרה ועוד, וכן כחזן מלווה בשבתות חזנות ובתפילות חגיגיות בבתי כנסת.
