This is a great exercise that I learned from Michele Larsson, and it's an excellent way to improve the ease of upper body extension by simply releasing the lower body tension. It takes just a few seconds to do and the results are pretty amazing. I refer to this movement as "the Party Trick" because it's such a dramatic difference from when you do the pre vs. post test. It's definitely a must for anyone who wants to improve upper thoracic extension or as a prep for doing any type of movement that requires upper back mobility and good posture.
